A thriving business can’t afford to neglect its base. Talan has helped builder Brigil shore up its finance and operations with a powerful new digital platform supporting new growth and success.

Brigil has been building super structures in the National Capital Region for over 30 years. The company is renowned for the quality of it residential and commercial construction and its commitment to supporting an exceptional quality of life in the master-planned communities it develops. With its extraordinary success, it recently found itself struggling to maintain momentum using the out-dated processes and systems it had been relying on to manage finance and operations. It needed a fully digitalized solution that would eliminate all the spreadsheets and silo-ing and laborious in-person information gathering on projects and procurement.

Our answer for Brigil was to embark on a full-scale implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations in the cloud an agile, cost-effective platform for: 

  • Eliminating paper-based processes
  • Integrating and automating operations
  • Accelerating financial information gathering, analysis and reporting
  • Improving decision making with real-time visibility into project status, supply chain management and business performance

The Challenge

From the outset, several structural challenges shaped the engagement. Brigil needed to modernize finance and operations without disrupting ongoing construction projects or inflating costs through heavy customization. Talan had to leverage the native capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, ensuring the solution remained scalable, supportable, and aligned with Microsoft best practices. 

At the same time, Brigil could not afford to divert significant internal resources away from its core business. The implementation therefore had to be led end-to-end by Talan, with limited dependency on key operational staff, while still ensuring strong adoption. Beyond the initial deployment, the solution also needed to be sustainable: employees had to be equipped with the knowledge to operate and evolve the platform independently, and supplier and procurement processes had to be integrated seamlessly to eliminate manual workarounds and information silos. The challenge was not simply technical: it was organizational, operational, and long-term.

The Solution

To address these imperatives, Talan designed and executed a phased implementation strategy focused on control, continuity, and long-term value. The program was structured into two waves to reduce risk and ensure operational stability. 

The first wave was delivered in two successive phases: the initial phase focused on core financial management, followed by the deployment of project management, customer service, and supply management capabilities. This phased approach allowed Brigil to stabilize critical financial processes quickly while progressively extending the platform across operations. Throughout the implementation, Talan emphasized standardization, change management, and knowledge transfer to ensure internal teams could confidently adopt and sustain the solution. 

A second wave, planned once the platform was fully stabilized, focused on optimization and enhancement—allowing Brigil to further leverage the system’s capabilities as business needs evolve, without compromising governance or control.
