Founded in 1980, Zone is a Canadian home goods retailer offering a wide assortment of decorative and functional products designed to combine style, quality, and accessible pricing.
The company operates eight stores across Quebec and Ontario, under three banners: Zone, VdV, and Magasin Général Val-David. Across these locations, the brand has built a reputation for curated product selection and attentive customer service.

Business Challenge
As the company expanded its retail network, Zone’s technology environment became increasingly complex. The organization relied on multiple disconnected systems to manage daily operations.
The existing ecosystem included a POS system, purchasing and inventory management tools, Sage for financial operations, and a custom-built e-commerce platform. Much of the infrastructure was running on outdated technology, including an older SQL-based web platform.
This fragmented environment created several operational limitations:
