Talan offers a unique opportunity for junior professionals to join a leading Corporate Banking team, specializing in Trade Finance – Bank Guarantees.

No banking experience needed

Join a global operations team and contribute to delivering high-quality services to international clients.

We need someone that can collaborate with:

• Proactively engage with available documentation, training materials, and real case examples to build a solid understanding of processes, products, and tools.
• Maintain structured personal notes to consolidate learning, track key concepts, and document recurring patterns or use cases.
• Apply a “learn–apply–reflect” approach: actively implement newly acquired knowledge in daily tasks and reflect on outcomes to reinforce understanding.
• Seek regular feedback from mentors or senior team members and incorporate it into subsequent work.
• Demonstrate curiosity by asking relevant, well-thought-out questions and identifying knowledge gaps independently.
• Gradually increase autonomy by reducing reliance on guidance and showing the ability to solve similar problems based on prior learnings.

Bank Guarantees – Middle & Back Office:

• Process client and partner guarantees in compliance with legal and risk policies
• Perform internal controls and keep accurate transaction records
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Trade Services teams across Europe
• Manage invoicing and align accounting entries
• Handle payments to correspondent banks

Documentary Trade – Middle Office:

• Monitor daily operations and approvals
• Coordinate with Back Office to ensure proper issuance of Letters of Credit
• Align processes with UCP 600/ISP98 and compliance standards
• Escalate complex cases to management as needed

• Advanced German proficiency - Mandatory
• Advanced English proficiency
• Degree in Law, Business, Translator, or related fields
• Attention to detail, initiative, analyst skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Based in Madrid and available full-time
