Ilias VAZAIOS

As Director of Energy Consulting, Ilias is an established leader with a passion for energy policy, economics and markets. Ilias has conceived and delivered an array of successful policy campaigns across the energy transition spectrum ranging from heat decarbonisation to hydrogen.
Ilias joined Gemserv* in 2020 following its acquisition of Ecuity Consulting, a policy consultancy he contributed to founding and developing until its sale. Gemserv set up its Low Carbon Business unit in 2020 to develop a set of consultancy services and since then the unit has grown substantially under Ilias leadership.
Prior to Ecuity and Gemserv, Ilias worked as a policy consultant in Washington DC and Brussels. A native Greek, Ilias also speaks English, Spanish and German.
*Gemserv were acquired by Talan in January 2023, and rebranded to Talan in 2025.
