Fraud and fraudsters have fully entered the digital era. They have successfully embraced technological change and taken advantage of the digitization and dematerialization of our activities. Today, artificial intelligence has become one of their most powerful tools.

According to Tanguy Le Nouvel, Director of Data Science at Micropole, a Talan company*, “Digital technology is a goldmine for fraudsters, who constantly reinvent themselves. Today, everything can be done online: shopping, borrowing money, getting reimbursed, opening a bank account. For example, by requesting a complete application file including payslips, bank account details, and identity documents from someone applying for a loan or renting an apartment, a fraudster can gather everything needed to impersonate that person, take out loans, and transfer money.”
